SO YOU THINK YOU HAVE THE ONE VEGAN CHILI RECIPE TO RULE THEM ALL?

Get ready to prove it!  Assemble your team and enter the 1st Annual Peninsula Vegans Unite Vegan Chili Cook-off! You will have two chances to earn bragging rights. (and a pretty impressive trophy)  The first shot will be from our judging panel and the second will be the People’s Choice. Sign up today! We have limited space.

Cook-off Rules & Regulations

  • All chili must be cooked on off premises day of the event. Event set up begins at early as 1:00 pm.  All entries should arrive no later than 1:00 pm.  Chili must be available for judging and public tasting by 2 p.m.

  • All teams must supply the chili in a crock pot.  Teams are also responsible for bringing an extension cord.  

  • Please plan to prepare 3 gallons of chili, to serve judges as well as members of the public (to judge “People’s Choice” award).

  • All preparation for the Competition Chili must be from scratch. Scratch means starting with raw or unprepared products, vegetables and regular spices. Canned tomatoes, sauce and other items are allowed, but must be vegan. 

  • You must bring a list of ingredients, not a recipe, so that we can verify that your chili is vegan.

  • Entry fees are $50.00 for restaurants and professionals, $20 for home cooks. All payments must be made at the time of registration.  Entry fees will be paid directly to Grateful Meadows using the PayPal account for GratefulMeadows@gmail.com

  • Application and fees must be received no later than Friday, November 3, 2017.

  • All winners will receive a trophy.  In addition, first place judges choice will receive a $50 cash prize.
